Northampton Community College

Electrotechnology Conference and Training Center | Bethlehem, PA

Bracy Contracting Inc. provided the construction management services for this $3.5 million, 35,000 SF laboratory and classroom addition to NCC’s conference and training center. The project was designed by Wallace & Watson Associates, PC, of Allentown.

A unique feature of the building is the Energy Recovery Unit, designed to reclaim and reuse excess energy for heating and cooling. First of its kind in the Lehigh Valley, ETAC needed a facility in which to test and apply proven technologies which determine best energy choices.

The laboratory required high tech floor coatings resistant to the wide variety of chemical agents used in testing. State of the art heat and motion activated controls for lighting, heating and cooling are also utilized.
